A Puzzle from Sir Hadwyns Tomb

Beneath Edinburgh Castle lies the tomb of Sir Hadwyn, a loyal Knight to Mary Queen of Scots. Engraved upon the soft stone walls was this unusual puzzle, which had been documented in the ancient pages of an untitled volume once owned by Walter, Archdeacon of Oxford in the 12th Century, and recreated for you here by the blog author.Sir Hadwyns Trios

  1. Oh wow, the pressure is on now. I’ll have to copy it down and get to it! Probably have to put it on my tomb with the words; Audrey Carden was not able to solve this puzzle. 🙂

    1. Well done Audrey. Glad you enjoyed it. There are a few variations on the solution. Try the other puzzles in the Mind Games Category. I will be posting other puzzles from time to time. Hope you enjoy the rest of the blog. Thanks, Tim.
