Teen Reading Week BannerLast week I mentioned that I would be taking part in the Teen Reading week.

It starts today!

There will be 35 authors taking part in the event as well as 27 bloggers featuring a variety of guest posts and interviews specifically aimed to encourage teenagers to read. Plus, there are some great prizes to be won all week!

Here is a full list of what is happening every day this week:My post, about why I write for teenagers, will be featured on Lisa Cresswells site on Tuesday 15 October. I have an interview with Catherine Stovall on my site on Friday 18 October.

      1. 🙂 I just thought I should ask, even though I was sure you would agree. Now if I can just get it to work right! (I still call blogging and indie my “grand experiment” and I am the first to admit that I’m no expert.

  1. Reblogged this on Teagan's Books and commented:
When I got up this morning, the first thing I noticed in my inbox was a blog post from Tim Flanagan. He writes wonderfully inventive and entertaining books aimed at teens (and adults like me, who would much rather read that kind of thing than grown up books). He’s promoting Teen Reading Week. Tim is in the UK, and I’m not sure how far-ranging this initiative may be. However, I also found “Teen Read Week” in the USA sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) http://www.ala.org/yalsa/aboutyalsa.
To be honest, I don’t really care what countries are sponsoring Teen Reading Week, as long as it’s being encouraged. So I’m spontaneously adding this “re-blog” of Tim’s post to my blogging schedule for today.
