An exciting new adventure…

newsavants-tightsketch1I wanted to share something with you today that nobody has seen before. This is the preliminary sketch for the cover of my next book – “The New Savants: Surge of the Red Plague” which is due for release on 3 August. The cover is still a work in progress by the hugely talented artist Wylie Beckert.

She is putting the finishing touches to the colour artwork for the front cover, but the book itself is finished and available to pre-order on Amazon.

But, what’s the book about? Here’s the blurb…

“In London lies an underground ghost station—empty and unused. Trains don’t stop there any more, but if you look closely on the tunnel walls, you might just spot a grime covered sign for Brompton Road Station. Tucked away from the hustle of London streets, the station holds a secret—a government training facility for those select few who are… unusual. After eighteen years, the Wicks, Wakefield and Lynch Institute for the Gifted has started recruiting once again!

From an early age, Louis Edwards realised that society couldn’t accept what it was unable to explain. And no one could explain what Louis was able to do. Forced to repress his gift and hide it from others, Louis successfully manages to lead an introverted life until the day he finds an unusual metal puzzle. The key to a training facility for people just like him.”

But there’s more – how do you fancy reading the first two chapters? I’ve put it up on smashwords for free so you can download the first two chapters in whichever format you prefer.
